Vislook: Field Force Tracking and Retail Audit App for India
Vislook is Clogik's field force tracking and retail audit app. It is an offline Android app that tracks field staff by GPS, stamps every audit photo with location and time, and takes each site from recce to approval to installation. Managers and clients see it on a live, white-label dashboard. National OOH agencies and Caltex run field work on it.

Most retail, PoP and BTL programmes in India still report through WhatsApp groups and Excel sheets. A promoter sends twenty photos at the end of the day, a supervisor copies outlet names into a spreadsheet, and the agency builds a PowerPoint for the client a week later. By then nobody can say which photo was taken where, whether the standee went up at the right outlet, or where the promoter actually was at 11:40.
Vislook replaces that with one flow. The field team works in an Android app, the data lands on a live dashboard, and the agency or brand can show that dashboard to its client under its own name. Clogik builds and runs Vislook in-house, the same team behind our recce management system and field reporting service.
What Vislook does
- Works offline. Staff capture photos and fill forms with no signal; data syncs when the phone reconnects. Built for highways, villages and basements, not just metro high streets.
- GPS staff tracking. See where your field team is and which locations they have covered, so attendance and route claims can be checked.
- GPS and time-stamped photo audits. Each audit photo carries location and time, which turns a picture into proof of execution.
- Recce → approval → install. Record the site and measurements at recce, get the design approved, then capture installation proof against the same site.
- Drag-and-drop campaign forms. Build the checklist for each campaign (material, size, placement, condition, remarks) without waiting for a developer.
- Live white-label dashboard + Excel. Managers and clients track progress as it happens and export the data for reports and billing.
- Rural village targeting. Plan and track coverage village by village for rural and van-based programmes.
Who uses it, and for what
National OOH agencies run multi-city PoP programmes on Vislook, and Caltex field reporting runs on Vislook. Typical uses:
- BTL and retail-branding agencies: shop-branding recce, client approval and installation proof across cities, shared with the brand on a dashboard carrying the agency's name.
- Brand trade-marketing teams: PoP and POSM visibility audits, dealer and outlet branding checks, and proof that what was paid for is on the wall.
- Rural and van activations: village-wise coverage, promoter tracking and photo proof where mobile data is patchy.
- Sampling and field marketing: daily reports from sampling, activations and data-collection teams in one format.
Field force tracking app vs sales force automation vs WhatsApp + Excel
Search for "field force tracking app India" and most results are sales force automation (SFA) tools built for orders and distributor beats, or manpower agencies that run audits for you. Vislook sits in a different place: it is a campaign tool for teams who execute branding and activations and must prove it.
| Need | WhatsApp + Excel | Typical SFA app | Vislook |
| Main job | Chat and manual sheets | Orders, beats, distributor sales | Campaign execution and proof |
| Photo proof with GPS + time | No (photos lose context) | Varies by product | Yes, on every audit photo |
| Recce → approval → install | Manual, across chats | Not the core use | Built in |
| Works offline | Messages queue, no structure | Varies by product | Yes, Android app syncs later |
| New form per campaign | New sheet each time | Usually admin or vendor setup | Drag-and-drop forms |
| Client-facing dashboard under agency brand | No | Rarely | Live white-label dashboard |
| Report for client or billing | Built by hand | Sales reports | Excel export from the dashboard |
If your main problem is order capture and secondary sales, an SFA tool is the right buy. If it is proving that branding, sampling or promoters actually happened at the right place and time, that is what Vislook is for.
How a campaign runs on Vislook
- Set up: share the outlet or village list, the campaign checklist and your field users. The form is built with drag-and-drop.
- Recce: field staff visit each site, capture GPS and time-stamped photos and measurements, offline if needed.
- Approve: the agency or brand reviews recce data on the dashboard and approves what goes into fabrication.
- Install and audit: the team captures installation and visibility photos against the same site, with staff tracked by GPS.
- Report: the client watches the live dashboard under your brand; you export to Excel for the final report and billing.
Checklist: what to ask any retail audit app vendor
- Does the app work with no network, and what happens to photos taken offline?
- Is GPS and time stamped on the photo at capture, or added later?
- Can recce, approval and installation be linked to the same site record?
- Can my team change the form for a new campaign without a developer?
- Can I give my client a dashboard with my brand, not the vendor's?
- Can I export everything to Excel for reports and invoices?
- Can the vendor customise the app when a brief needs something new, and who answers the phone during a live campaign?
On the last point: Clogik builds Vislook in-house and our sales, support and development teams are on call 24×7. When a campaign needs something the app does not do yet, the same team does custom software development.

Frequently asked questions
What is a field force tracking app?
A field force tracking app records where field staff are and what they did at each location, usually with GPS, photos and forms, and shows it to managers on a dashboard. Vislook is Clogik's field force tracking app for BTL, retail and PoP campaigns in India.
Does Vislook work without internet?
Yes. Vislook is an offline Android app. Field staff can capture photos and fill forms where there is no signal, and the data syncs to the dashboard when the phone is back on the network. This matters for rural and semi-urban routes.
How is Vislook different from a sales force automation app?
Sales force automation apps are built around orders, beats and distributor sales. Vislook is built around campaigns: recce, approval and installation of branding, photo proof of execution, staff tracking and a dashboard the agency can brand for its client.
Can an agency show the Vislook dashboard to its client under its own brand?
Yes. The live dashboard is white-label, so an agency can share it with its brand client under its own branding, and export data to Excel for reports.
Who uses Vislook today?
National OOH agencies run multi-city PoP programmes on Vislook, and Caltex field reporting runs on Vislook.
Can Vislook handle a recce before branding is installed?
Yes. Vislook takes a site from recce to approval to installation in one flow, with GPS and time-stamped photos at each stage, so the client can see what was measured, what was approved and what was finally installed.
